Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data we collect while you use Karala, how we use it, and what your rights are. Last updated: 2026.
We don't sell your data. No one is ever shown who voted for which drawing. You can permanently delete your account and all your data, in-app, with a single tap, any time.
Data we collect
Your email address when you create an account; the username, bio, drawings, theme suggestions, votes, follows/followers, and badges you generate while using the app. Your real name or profile details are never shown to other users — only the anonymous username the system assigns you is ever visible.
How we use your data
To run your account, power the drawing/voting flow, prevent fraud and abuse (e.g. detecting vote manipulation), and review reported content. We never sell your data.
Vote anonymity
Which drawing you voted for is never shown to any user — including the drawing's own creator. This data is only ever used internally for scoring and abuse detection.
Retention and deletion
Your data is kept for as long as your account is active. From Settings > Account, "Delete My Account" instantly and permanently deletes your account and everything tied to it (drawings, votes, board, badges) directly from the app. See the Delete Account page for details.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your data. You can carry out a deletion request yourself from Settings > Account; for other rights, reach out to us. Users in Turkey also have additional rights under KVKK, listed in our KVKK Notice.
Children's privacy
Karala isn't designed for users under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from that age group.
